The TCF Board

The TCF board meets monthly to review project progress and discuss new initiatives.
The members are:


Steve Killelea, Chairman

Steve Killelea, Chairman and Founder of The Charitable Foundation has over 30 years experience in the information technology industry and has developed two highly profitable global companies including Integrated Research, which is listed on the Australia Stock Exchange.

Steve is also the founder of the Institute for Economics and Peace, and founder and developer of the Global Peace Index, which is regarded as the worlds leading measurement of national peacefulness.

Kevin Gray, Secretary

Kevin Gray is the Development Manager for Taralye, a not-for-profit organisation located in Victoria supporting young hearing-impaired children and their families.

In the past Kevin has been Finance Director for Access Ministries and CFO at World Vision Australia, where he worked for 30 years in senior leadership positions.

Jennayah Patenall, Director

Jennayah Patenall is a social worker and has worked in the field of disability and mental health for 9 years.  She has a long history working with children with intellectual disabilities and their carers and more recently as a play therapy with children experiencing mental health issues or other challenges in their life. She brings this knowledge and expertise to her role on the board.

Jennayah completed her social work degree at the University of Sydney, undertook some additional study through the Hammond Institute in Holistic Counselling, and has recently completed a postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy.




Deborah Killelea WebDeborah Killelea, Director

Deborah’s background is uniquely diverse and is lined with experiences and skills that include nursing, studies as a recreational therapist and work with Indigenous children and children with physical disabilities. Her history working with children, her skill sets and her unwavering passion for helping families all lead her to found the Be Centre, where she dedicate her time and work to help children facing emotional difficulties and their families.




TCF Operations


Peder Nygaard Pedersen

The TCF CEO is Peder Nygaard Pedersen.

Peder oversees all aspects of TCF operations and travels frequently to TCF project sites for hands-on monitoring and support.

Peder comes with 25 years of experience with peacekeeping and development in the Balkans, Middle East and South East Asia. He has a Masters degree in Agriculture from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen and is a Major in the Danish Army Reserves. Before joining TCF, he was the Director of Programs for DPK Consulting in San Francisco.
